As Executive Director you will lead the Program Development and Performance section to deliver their priorities, activities and projects. This will include Leading the Program Development and Performance section to deliver government priorities and ensure exceptional client service delivery.
This position requires an ability to lead and manage, by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and central agencies to lead the annual development, approval and publication of the $37.4 billion Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP). You will inspire a large and diverse team of professional staff associated with development of state-wide policies, systems and processes to enhance portfolio, program and project management capability across TMR.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Well-developed leadership skills and strong stakeholder engagement skills to lead complex funding negotiations and achieve optimal outcomes for infrastructure projects in Queensland.
- Experience providing comprehensive, timely, and accurate corporate reporting and responding to enquiries from senior management, government representatives, and ministerial.
- Demonstrated experience resolving complex program development and management issues.
- Experience implementing strategies and policies, while ensuring quality client service delivery, across public, private and/or not for profit sectors.
- Lead the development of a divisional culture that encourages achievement, organisational learning, networking, cooperative behaviour, diversity, flexibility and responsiveness to change.
As an executive, you will work towards a system of world class service delivery and public-sector management. You will have a proven track record in challenging environments and in fostering a confident, healthy, diverse, inclusive and capable workforce. You will process the relevant background and experience, have success in a similar role and you will also be skilled in inspiring individuals and teams in the pursuit of results. This role is offered as an SES contract for a period of up to 5 years, with the possibility of an extension.
