We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor (Workforce) to join the team at RoadTek.

In this fast paced and varied role, you will report to the Principal Advisor (Workforce) and provide specialist HR/IR advice to RoadTek business unit managers to enhance business delivery capability through the effective use of workforce resources.

This is a permanent, full-time position and can be performed from any of our RoadTek office locations (Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Toowoomba, Warwick, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast or Brisbane CBD).

RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. The Senior Advisor (Workforce) will work within the Workforce team to deliver practical business outcomes within RoadTek. RoadTek's industrial landscape is complex and includes both a 'blue' and 'white' collar workforce.

In this dynamic role, some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide advice and support to senior managers and local leaders on complex and non-complex case management matters, including discipline processes, employee grievances, medical management, attendance management and performance management.
• Provide advice and support on resourcing and workforce management issues and develop appropriate solutions in consultation with senior managers and local leaders.
• Advise on and support the implementation of strategies to enhance leadership, technical expertise and business management capability within the RoadTek workforce.
• Provide internal coaching to managers to develop their human resources and people skills.
• Develop, maintain and foster strong relationships and partnerships with internal clients and external stakeholders and providers, with a focus on two-way communication.

To be successful you will need: 
• Demonstrated experience in a similar Human Resource advisor position. 
• Generalist knowledge of HR, performance management, recruitment, employee and industrial relations.
• Excellent organisational skills and thrive working independently in a fast paced environment. 
• A ‘hands on' approach to supporting our business unit managers will all operational HR matters. 
• An exceptional ability to consult, liaise and negotiate confidently and in a clear and concise manner through the use of structured written and oral communication.
• The ability to rapidly develop and maintain relationships through collaboration with your clients, stakeholders and colleagues.
• The ability to work under pressure in an environment of competing priorities and deadlines. 
• While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, tertiary qualifications in human resources or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
