Join an established team delivering a four-year workplan within the Law and Justice Policy team at DPC. As a senior team member, you will provide leadership on policy issues and contribute to the design and delivery of high priority and high-profile crime prevention strategies delivered in partnership stakeholders across regional, rural and remote Queensland. You will work within a dynamic, stimulating and personally rewarding environment, in partnership with members of the Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Council and other agencies.

At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on the government's priorities, commitments, decisions, and objectives for the betterment of the community.

The Cabinet Office, of which Law and Justice Policy is a part, leads the policy development process across government, providing strategic analysis, insights and options on key policy initiatives to deliver on the government's priorities.

Your opportunity:
To support the operation of the Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Council in undertaking the Council's annual work plan of activities aligned with the priorities and signature actions of the 10-year Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Strategy 2016-2026 and relevant Action Plans; and encouraging greater ownership of action to end domestic and family violence, including by helping to foster and broker partnerships to support corporate and community-led action.

About you:
The successful person will be able to demonstrate their understanding of primary prevention, and the ability to form enduring stakeholder relationships and manage complex projects in a dynamic environment. You will be required to take responsibility for discrete areas of work and collaborating with the larger team to deliver strategic priorities.

A good knowledge and understanding of IAP2's Public Participation Spectrum will be well regarded. Intrastate travel will be required. This role will require work to be performed out-of-business hours.
