As our Principal Media and Content Officer you will:
• Support the Manager, Media and Content in providing general media and communication advice to stakeholders to maximise our reach across departmental, media and industry channels.
• Manage the digital team (currently 2 reports) and oversee the digital output and strategy, including social media and newsletters.
• Develop, manage and evaluate integrated digital and media communication strategies and activities for specific projects and business programs.
• Research, write, edit and coordinate compelling content on a range of platforms including web, media, newsletters and social media channels, using imagery, infographics and videography.
• Develop partnerships and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government, industry, media and community.
• Anticipate, identify and analyse major/sensitive/political issues before they arise and prepare appropriate responses or strategies for senior stakeholders.
• Liaise with other members of the Communication and Engagement team on content matters relating to specific projects, campaigns and issues.
• Generate reports on media/social media/digital coverage of specific issues or business areas, and share insights with your communication and engagement colleagues and stakeholders.
• Research, analyse and interpret current and emerging trends and channels in media and social media to continuously improve how we communicate and engage our stakeholders.
• Have an oversight of media and digital governance, and ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
• Participate in the weekend on-call media roster and weekly media clips roster.
You may also have
• While not mandatory, a tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be well regarded.
