What you will do (key responsibilities/duties):
• Support and coordinate the delivery of key projects under the department's climate, infrastructure and assets strategy.
• Undertake research and analysis of policy and legislation to develop standards, processes and procedures with an emphasis on risk, sustainability, emissions reductions, environmental controls, waste management and cost-effective initiatives.
• Design and implement programs and projects with minimal supervision, identifying risk and managing expectations on time and within budget within the department's program management framework.
• Develop and prepare advice concerning facility services, including waste management and reduction, electricity and water management, and reporting across all services and initiatives.
• Evaluate existing business processes to identify areas of improvement, design solutions to resolve business process issues and develop solutions using the Microsoft suite of SharePoint, Automate, PowerApps and PowerBI.
• Liaise, negotiate and develop effective networks with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and service providers, to successfully deliver cost-effective outcomes.
• Interpret legislation, codes, standards, policies, guidelines and practices and provide high-quality written and oral advice as required.
• Prepare business cases, reports, briefings, and correspondence to a high standard.

What you will bring (qualifications, registrations, experience):

• Demonstrate experience in managing and coordinating projects, including stakeholder engagement, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines, as well as obtaining executive and government approval.
• Demonstrate a track record to communicate efficiently and effectively when delivering quality written communication products, including the preparation of sensitive materials, and providing professional advice while coordinating internal and external stakeholder meetings.
• Demonstrate the ability to map business processes, identify potential efficiencies and implement automations.
• The ability to research and critically analyse policy to identify legislative solutions that are based on evidence and fit for purpose.
• Apply key concepts and principles of legislation when developing policy responses, programs and project.
• An understanding of budget and financial principles.
