Digital and Information Services (DIS): Responsible for leading the department’s digital and data strategies, working with Directors-Generals (DDG) and business groups to define digital objectives and facilitate digital roadmaps which support their business goals. DIS works strategically to assist the department to support digital transformation aligned to the department’s priorities and leads improvement of the departments cyber security posture and collaborate with business groups to ensure the smooth execution of priority digital initiatives.

As the Senior Business Support Officer you will:

  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and finalisation of executive documents on behalf of the CDO, including correspondence, submissions and Director-General Briefing Notes and executive correspondence on significant issues.
  • Coordinate submissions, documentation, proposals, and initiatives requiring total directorate responses with respect to stakeholder matters.
  • Coordinate and compile information to facilitate the analysis of human resource, budget and financial performance including the on-going monitoring, reviewing and reporting of the human resources and financial information of the division.
  • Coordinate human resource management activities including, but not limited to, establishment management, workforce and salary reporting and provide administrative assistance as required.
  • Provide high level advice to the DIS leadership team, management, and other key stakeholders and clients on a broad range of strategic and operational human resource management policies, procedures, systems, practises and workforce management issues.
  • Manage and co-ordinate responses to stocktakes, audits and other corporate governance requirements as required.
  • Provide advice and strategies on effective and efficient use of utilities and facilities including telecommunications and monitor records management and archiving requirements.
  • Manage complex workloads, meet deadlines and commitments and complete tasks within a tight timeframe independently or within a team.
  • Provide digital initiative procurement support as required.
  • Provide support and guidance to the AO4 Support Officer within the Office of the CDO.
  • Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
