About Us:
At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on the government's priorities, commitments, decisions, and objectives for the betterment of the community.
DPC Procurement is the central area of departmental procurement. It is responsible for DPC's procurement policy and guidelines, along with assisting business areas
right across the department with their procurement needs.
Your opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ICT procurement professional to shape the department's future approach to ICT procurement and contract management. As this is a new permanent position you will have a fantastic opportunity to step into and shape the role.
While you will be part of the Procurement and Travel team you will be expected to work closely and collaborate with the department's IT Services area.
About you:
You will have a strong background in procurement and contract management, particularly in ICT, with prior experience with the QITC framework highly regarded.
To be successful you will have demonstrated the ability to:
• think strategically, looking beyond immediate operational requirements to the bigger picture and what is needed in the longer term
• stimulate ideas and innovation, driving new ways of thinking
• make insightful decisions that can navigate ambiguity and show sound professional judgment
• build enduring relationships with client areas across the department, working together to identify and implement solutions
• drive accountability and outcomes, showing a strong attention to detail
• demonstrate sound governance, maintaining a high and ethical standard of procurement and contract management practice.
Level 3 (or higher) qualification under the Queensland Government Procurement Certification Program, or possession of relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or accreditation with a relevant professional body, will be highly regarded.
