About the Senior Logistics Officer:
• Use, and assist others in the use of, the Exploration Data Centre (EDC) inventory management systems.
• Safe operation of equipment, tools and machinery, and material handling equipment.
• Conduct and review risk assessments on warehouse plant, equipment, tools, machinery and tasks, and develop safe work method statements.
• Assist procurement planning and assist to deliver projects and ensure works are delivered in compliance with contract terms and WHS standards.
• Manage plant and equipment licencing and accreditation, along with the repairs, maintenance and upgrades of plant and equipment.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on EDC operations.
• Supervise warehouse staff and operations while ensuring that safe work practices.
The following requirements are essential to this role:
• A current WHS High Risk Work (HRW) licence for operation of forklift trucks (LF class).
• A current statement of attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework TLILIC2003 Licence to operate a forklift truck (LF) or equivalent.
• A current, open C class driver licence. Possession of a current WHS HRW for the operation of order-picking forklift trucks (turret trucks) (LO class) and experience in the use of order-picking forklifts is also highly desirable but not mandatory. This role requires the lifting and manual handling of items weighing up to 40 kilograms. The successful applicant should be prepared to apply risk management strategies to minimise the risk associated with manual handling.
