MSQ is seeking an experienced A08 Manager (Maritime Property) who will plan and lead in the MSQ property, procurement and investment space. In your role, you will support the Director (BI Delivery) in all aspects of the programs functions.
Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Plan and deliver the Annual Maritime Property Program within the Maritime Safety Queensland property portfolio, and support for Maritime Accommodation within the Department of Transport and Main Roads Accommodation portfolio.
• Lead investment, procurement, contract delivery and reporting into Branch, Department and Government Accommodation Office frameworks, including risk reporting aligned into Queensland Safety, Procurement and Finance policy and regulations.
• Schedule and monitor the delivery of site maintenance from planning, investment, procurement, contract delivery.
• Undertake property assessments for business case development and future leasing opportunity.
• Create and maintain meaningful, relevant commercial property, government accommodation standards and emerging technologies in Australian building standards with colleagues within the Department, the Branch, Local, State and Federal agencies, related industries and stakeholders to ensure delivery of a Maritime Property program.

Mandatory qualifications and special conditions:
• The successful applicant for this position will be required to undergo criminal history screening in accordance with the Relevant Duties provisions of Part 6, Division 2 of the Public Service Act 2008.
• Criminal history screening will be conducted on the suitable person for the role.
• Frequent and regular travel, including overnight, or for extended periods, to the Torres Strait Region and other rural, remote and isolated regional locations is a requirement of this role.
Requirements of the role:
• Demonstrated extensive best practise of practical and professional standards in Government accommodation and commercial property leasing, investment
• Experience in leading regional, remote and isolated property projects in a public sector environment.
• High level of written, oral and interpersonal skills, providing commercial, strategic property, site safety insights, information and advice clearly understood, assisting delegate decision making such as technical plans and documents, standards, contract and Procurement plans and assessments.
• Informed knowledge to apply current safe worksite requirements when travelling to rural, remote and isolated worksites.
