As Area Manager, you will deliver strong leadership and management to support the delivery of statutory land valuations for properties in Queensland in accordance with the Land Valuation Act 2010 and the Land Act 1994. Provide advice on and resolve emerging issues and any critical impacts relating to the State Valuation Service (SVS) service delivery capability.

To be successful you will:
• Lead and manage several teams undertaking major state-wide projects providing direction and guidance to staff and project team members to achieve positive outcomes.
• Provide high level advice and input to SVS senior management and other government stakeholders on legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines in relation to valuation matters. The role may include being a valuation subject matter expert.
• Coordinate valuation services across the region to assist in the integrated delivery of valuation services for the whole of departmental/government responsibilities and ensure that valuations meet legislative requirements, standards, policy and procedures.
• Monitor the business environment for critical impacts on the department and opportunities for SVS service delivery providing sound and timely advice to address issues and ensure work outputs for projects on a regional basis.
• Investigate and resolve valuation issues and provide expert advice to clients on complex and/or contentious property related issues.
You will have a keen eye for detail, wonderful time management and effective problem-skilling skills along with a positive attitude and make a great contribution to our close-knit and connected team.

• State Valuation Service is a state-wide operation, and you will be required to travel.
