In the role of Principal Advisor (Stakeholder Engagement), you will plan, develop, and coordinate various business initiatives for the Rockhampton Ring Road project in the Central Queensland Region Program Delivery and Operations branch. The role will provide high level support to the Project Director by coordinating the delivery of specific projects and new initiatives for the project.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate legacy projects associated with the Rockhampton Ring Road and monitor their implementation, including supporting resource and stakeholder expectations, in close liaison with the Project Director.
• Lead stakeholder engagement for the project and collaborate with external and internal project delivery teams to achieve agreed functional outcomes.
• Provide advice to the Project Director and project team to ensure relevant project related activities align with broader TMR and whole of government approach to stakeholder engagement in a major infrastructure project context.
• Liaise with and develop strong, positive relationships with a range of key TMR stakeholders, to assist in providing strategic advice and high-level support and expertise to the project team about stakeholder engagement, media, correspondence, reporting and parliamentary briefing for the project.
• Develop and implement project monitoring and reporting processes to ensure strong performance and sound governance is maintained.
• Develop and grow positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate active cooperation and coordination of project initiatives.
• Undertake research for projects to understand current and emerging trends both throughout government and other related sectors, to inform business decisions.
• Coordinate, research, write and/or review, and facilitate approvals for project communication materials, reports, briefing notes, submissions, and other correspondence on behalf of the Project Director, in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate the updates on project activities and initiatives as advised by the Project Director to ensure that business outcomes, performance indicators, deliverables and deadlines are achieved.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Current holder of a Class C driver's licence.
• A minimum of five years external stakeholder engagement and communications experience.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role
