The position sits within the Intelligence and GIS Team, in the Waste and Enforcement Services Branch of DES within the Environmental Services and Regulation (ESR) Division. The Intelligence and GIS Team provides an important support function to ESR divisional activities occurring across the state, including by directly supporting frontline compliance and assessment officers located in various DES offices.
As a Senior GIS Analyst (PO3) you will also work closely with the ESR Compliance and Investigations teams, supporting environmental regulatory activities across Queensland. Providing an operational spatial support function for regulatory activities, the Senior GIS Analyst is involved with a wide range of DES portfolios varying from environmental management to waste and resource/mining activities.
