The Department
The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water (DRMDW) drives growth for Queensland by managing sustainable water resources, leading innovation in manufacturing, and developing our regions. The Role
The Senior Information Analyst reports to the Manager of Information and Data Governance in the Digital Capability Office. You will plan, implement, and evaluate initiatives as part of the Digital Capability Office's role in building capability, managing strategic risks and implementing DRDMW's digital strategy.
The role involves delivering key initiatives to ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures. This includes DRDMW's information security management system, investment governance and digital assurance principles and practices, and information management initiatives such as records management and data quality.
About You
• There are no mandatory requirements for this role; however experience in information security, investment governance and digital assurance, and/or information management would be highly regarded.
• Proven ability to research, interpret and apply legislation, policies, standards and procedures.
• Strong communicator with exceptional stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects effectively including planning, reporting, quality assurance, coordinating risk and issue management processes and tracking milestones.
• Provides informed recommendations and advice to staff and executives.
• Consults widely to draft a range of materials such as briefing notes, reports, submissions, presentations, meeting papers and other artefacts.
• Highly adaptable and flexible to deal with and manage competing priorities.
• Works autonomously, and as a member of a high functioning and collaborative team.
