What you will be doing
• Undertake research and analysis of housing issues in Local Government Areas, inform key briefing materials and prepare Executive correspondence, briefing materials and the development of Local Housing Actions Plans.
• Create and maintain effective working relationships with key project stakeholders and data custodians.
• Coordinate, lead and attend meetings, forums, committees and negotiations with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop strategic intelligence in the support of the growth and development of housing supply.
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to government about the implications of policy changes identified to respond to supply and demand issues.
• Work collaboratively with senior management, project teams, government agencies and external stakeholders to ensure regional housing planning project outcomes are achieved.
• Effectively manage projects at a high level, utilising and implementing the Agile project management methodology.
• Work in partnership with Housing Delivery and other key internal and external stakeholders to improve the availability, diversity and quality of housing through the development of Local Housing Action Plans.
• Undertake investment analysis across rural and remote communities to identify key trends and issues impacting housing supply.
• Support the Director by working in partnership within internal and external stakeholders by identifying future development opportunities and long-term project pipeline planning.
• Oversee projects at a high level to support the capital works program of the team, through a contemporary project management approach.
• Direct complex business analysis and reporting functions for the team, including urgent requests for project information from across the department.
• Develop appropriate responses to emerging policy and funding issues relating to the National Regulatory Scheme for Community Housing.
