As a successful Land Research Officer, you will have the opportunity undertake tenure research, including analysing and interpreting tenure, working with the Spatial Information Team to obtain mapping, and collating information relating to negotiations for native title claims, compensation claims, or associated Indigenous Land Use Agreements.
Supporting your Senior Project Officer and your State Negotiator, you will be instrumental in liaising with internal and external stakeholders including State and local government departments, the National Native Title Tribunal, peak industry groups, Indigenous groups and members of the public, as required.
Your ability to use (or adapt quickly to) departmental databases and information systems to maintain accurate records, produce reports and statistical information in relation to State Land dealings will see you efficiently supporting the broader team and work collaboratively with team members, and as required, provide peer review, and on-the-job training in systems, processes and procedures related to the administration and research of land tenure.
This is an exciting opportunity to support important work across Queensland and contribute to the future for all generations to come! For more information on these positions, please refer to the role profile document, or contact David Everest for a confidential discussion on 07 3137 4244.
