Embark on a pivotal role within Estates Management where you, as an OO6 Ranger for the DESI's Northern Parks and Forests, will safeguard the splendour of Queensland's natural assets. Specialising in tenure management, your acumen in handling complex land issues—from acquisitions and revocations to the meticulous oversight of encroachments and developments—will be instrumental in conserving the high conservation values intrinsic to our heritage. In this role, you will diligently craft and monitor your project plans, embracing change with a positive outlook as you navigate uncertainties.
You will partake in achieving organisational objectives concerning the assessment and administration of legislative authorities central to our operations. As the frontline negotiator with external stakeholders, your expertise will be vital in determining the terms of authorities, establishing you as the chief point of contact for DESI. Your responsibilities extend to fostering relationships and interactions focused on delivering excellent engagement, education, and advice, upholding DESI's customerfirst value.
As an integral team member, you'll contribute to the success of both your Unit and Branch, mentoring colleagues to nurture resilience and developing capabilities that bolster our department's proficiency. Research and policy development are also key tenets of your mandate. By assisting in the drafting of policy documents, reports, and executive correspondence, you ensure that information is precise, pertinent, and actionable. Your prowess in these areas directly influences our capacity to maintain the richness of regional ecosystems, secure the welfare of protected species, and honour the storied cultural landscapes under our stewardship. Your work is more than a job—it is a commitment to future generations, ensuring that Queensland's wilderness remains untouched and vibrant.
Your role as an OO6 Ranger is not just a career; it is a testament to your dedication to our environmental legacy.
