Business Manager

Victim Assist Queensland (VAQ) works within a trauma informed framework to help victims to recover. Victim Assist provides assistance to victims of violent crime (including all forms of domestic and family violence) in accordance with the Victims
of Crime Assistance Act 2009 (VOCAA).
As the Business Manager, Corporate Support VAQ, you are responsible for overseeing the provision of central business support services to VAQ business units.You will also coordinate and provide advice on branch budget and financial processes and maintain key establishment information for the Executive Director VAQ and the Operational Leadership Group.
This role will lead the Corporate Support Team and will report directly to the Executive Director, VAQ.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the provision of central support services to VAQ business units in the areas of financial processing, human resources, and general administrative support.
• Provide advice to VAQ business units on financial and human resource processes in accordance with relevant legislation and directives.
• Oversee the coordination of branch budget builds and financial monitoring and forecasting.
• Maintain key establishment information for the VAQ executive leadership team, including the VAQ organisational chart.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve the central support services provided to VAQ business units through efficient and effective processes and systems.
• Prepare financial and human resources briefing notes, including in relation to the exercise of financial and human resource delegations.
• Participate in branch meetings as required.
• Undertake other duties as directed.
