How you'll contribute
As our valued Financial Services Manager, leading a team of Management Accounting professionals, you will play a vital part in contributing the department's organisational strategic direction by overseeing financial planning, analysis and reporting.
In this fast paced and diverse role, you'll make your mark by:
- Leading the development of operating and capital budgets to support current and future priorities across the department in preparation of the budget papers and Budget Estimates Committee hearings.
- Driving positive change supporting contemporary financial services, through innovative service delivery, to meet customer business requirements, providing strategic financial analyses supporting project and program outcomes.
- Promoting a continuous improvement culture by maintaining innovation through delivering contemporary financial policies, systems, processes and tools to ensure they are responsive to the department's needs and ensuring the highest ethical behaviours.
- Building strong partnerships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrating an excellent knowledge of current Queensland Government financial management frameworks, guidelines, standards and practices to support governance and risk management practices.

What you'll bring to the role
- You'll draw on your experience in the public, private and/or not for profit sector with strategic experience in financial management positions, service delivery, stakeholder engagement and strategy implementation.
- A relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised tertiary institution will be highly regarded.
