About us:
At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on the government's priorities, commitments, decisions, and objectives for the betterment of the community.
The Engagement and Partnerships team leads the delivery of engagement opportunities for the Premier and the Cabinet through events, awards and programs that facilitate community engagement and promote Queensland Government priorities and key initiatives. Engagement and Partnerships also provides leadership and strategic advice on whole-of-government sponsorship policy and event delivery to drive economic and community benefit.
Your opportunity:
As Team Leader, Events and Programs you will lead a small team to coordinate multiple high-level events and programs across the life-cycle of the initiative including creative development, implementation and evaluation for a range of events, awards, programs and community engagement programs as required.
You will work collaboratively with stakeholders (both internal and external to the department) to build partnerships and deliver outcomes for events, awards and programs. This includes providing high-quality advice to key stakeholders (both internal and external to the department) in relation to best practice event delivery, strategies and options in engagement activities and operational event management. You will be responsible for maintaining the range of event management systems and processes including procurement and budget preparation to ensure that events, awards and other activities are successfully delivered in accordance with Department policies and procedures and industry best practice.
