Some of your responsibilities will include:
As Finance Officer you will lead and manage a functional team providing best practice services:
• Monitor workflows, work allocation, team performance, team management and internal controls.
• Ensure appropriate prioritisation of processing volumes, as per service agreements
• Encourage innovation and a performance focused team culture
• Contribute to operational planning and performance measures
• Prepare correspondence, reconciliations, journals and reports using applications such as Microsoft Products or other financial management software.
• Provide accurate and timely advice on operational issues, financial management policies, procedures, standards and systems advice to customers, management and staff.
• Undertake research, analysis and investigation into financial management issues and complex problems and implement effective solutions
• Act as subject matter expert by contributing to the development of continuous improvement of systems and processes to enhance service delivery and improve the operations of the team
• Contribute to the team environment by assisting colleagues, providing expert advice and guidance to team members and working collaboratively across
Queensland Shared Services.
• Contribute to an accountable, fair and safe work environment, embracing human resource management practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination and performance.
