As the Training and Development Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for conducting training needs analysis, leading the development and delivery of custody and evidence management training programs, and ensuring alignment with QPS policies and best practices.
This role involves providing strategic advice to senior management on training initiatives and fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
You will also evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and collaborate with key stakeholders to advance organisational capabilities.

The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Conduct needs analysis in conjunction with management to determine training requirements of staff and contribute to the development of strategies to meet these requirements.
- Lead the development, and delivery of Custody and Property training programs in accordance with policies, best practices, procedures and standards.
- Provide high level strategic advice to senior management on organisational Custody and Property training initiatives that support a compliance driven and continuous improvement culture.
- Undertake assessment of staffing Custodial and Property management capabilities and prepare reports based on these assessments.
- Establish and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable effective coordination, development, and delivery of training solutions to advance the Custody and Property Management capabilities of the QPS.
- Undertake the assessment and evaluation of internal training and development programs.
- Establish and maintain information management and other administrative systems to monitor the training and assessment of staff.
- Apply adult education methodologies relevant to Queensland Police Service operational skills training programs and internal education and training policies and processes.
Role Requirements:
Mandatory -
- There are no mandatory requirements for this role, however, formal qualifications in Assessment and Training (e.g. Certificate IV or higher) or accredited tertiary qualification in adult education would be highly regarded.
Other -
- The position will be based in Brisbane however local and intrastate travel may be required to deliver training.
