Your contribution:
As a Senior Program Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the delivery of Environmental Recovery Programs valued at over $100 million, funded through the joint Queensland and Australian Government Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). The DRFA provides financial assistance to help communities, businesses and the environment recover from eligible disaster events.
The Programs support rehabilitation and restoration of rain and flood-affected environments in order to maintain healthy ecosystems and other environmental values and improve resilience for future disaster events. There are a range of components within each Program, including but not limited to Environmental Investigations, Clean Up, Invasive Species, Biodiversity Conservation and Riverine Recovery activities.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the Principal Program Managers with administration of the Programs, including project delivery milestone assessment, grant and procurement management, finance tracking, monthly reporting requirements, communication and media considerations, stakeholder engagement and governance. There will be opportunities to travel as part of this role to connect with delivery partners, undertake site inspections and discuss program outcomes.
