What's in it for you?
No day is the same - work can be unpredictable, often shaped by weather or unforeseen events. One day you might be patrolling parks, maintaining facilities, repairing tracks, or engaging with visitors. The next day you could be preserving Cultural Heritage sites, protecting and conserving threatened flora and fauna, undertaking planned burns, or controlling invasive species. Or you may be delivering wildlife education and compliance or managing rehabilitation and rescues in isolated and remote situations.
This continuous applicant pool is an opportunity to apply for permanent and/or temporary QPWS&P Ranger (Terrestrial & Marine) positions that may become available across Queensland; including Indigenous Identified and/or Diverse Ability Designated roles (section 25 or 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD)).
This process is an entry pathway for OO3 Ranger positions.
We offer:
- Diverse and impactful roles managing and conserving Queensland's terrestrial, marine and island parks, and wildlife.
- Work locations across the State - our Park and Operations bases are as diverse as our career opportunities.
- Varied responsibilities, including fire management, land conservation, wildlife protection, visitor safety and education programs, making each day unique and fulfilling.
- Opportunities for career progression and development - as you grow within QPWS&P you'll unlock new pathways for personal and professional advancement.
