The Roster Officer position, with support of the AO7 Principal Consultant, Rostering, will be part of the Rostering Support Unit to provide remote and face to face support the HR Field within the Correctional Field.
The Rostering Support Unit will:
Provide remote/face to face support with daily rostering activities within Correctional Centres.
Provide standardised processes in regard to Rostering to the HR field. Provide ongoing training to Roster Officers.
The Roster Officer role will:
Be a centralised position with the ability to be deployed remotely/face to face to support the daily rostering activities within Correctional Centres.
Conduct audits in relation to payroll, rostering and Microster Application.
Provide ongoing support to the AO6 Senior Advisor Rostering Workforce Management and AO7 Principal Consultant Rostering.

To assess whether you are an ideal applicant for this role, QCS is seeking a suitable applicant that possesses most of the following:
Demonstrated staff roster management skills, preferably within a 24/7 operating environment.
Information technology skills at a competent level with the willingness to learn new IT skills and use internal information management databases as well as Microsoft Office software.
Planning & Organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Problem solving skills with the ability to apply a range of problem solving strategies and show initiative in identifying and solving problems both independently and as a team member.
Ability to use judgement and discretion with confidential information.
Sound Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for gathering and providing information both over the phone and in person, to a range of stakeholders and the ability to listen, understand and to negotiate with staff on staffing/roster management and HR related issues.
Ability to acquire knowledge of relevant acts and regulations.
Sound information technology, including proficiency in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and databases and other office technology.
Other information to note:
Travel to custodial correctional centres will be required, including travel to support the Northern Region Correctional Facilities.
Demonstrated experience in a rostering role or function with experience in supporting frontline services highly regarded.
