The Public Sector Commission (PSC) is seeking an AO6 Senior Advisor to join our Executive Policy and Employment team on a permanent basis. This role would be ideal for someone with solid end to end workflow management expertise who enjoys advising on executive employment matters and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Your opportunity plays a key part in the successful running and end to end management of the Senior Executive cohort across the public sector. You will have exposure to various agency contacts and provide confidential and timely advice to all stakeholders, ensuring that operational standards of the PSC are maintained. Your small team consists of a Director, Principal Advisor and another Senior Advisor who are eager to support your development.
Key responsibilities include:
• end to end management of requests for Public Sector Commissioner approval related to Senior Executive Service (SES) roles across the sector
• provision of advice on a range of SES employment topics including the application and interpretation of PSC Directives
• stakeholder engagement both internal and external to the PSC on a range of executive employment topics
• administrative and executive support.

Feeling successful in your new role may be supported by:
• previous experience in advisory or administration roles
• flexibility in your written and verbal communication, tailoring to specific cohorts
• strong attention to detail, accountability and the ability to actively seek information to support your decision making
• experience dealing with various stakeholders, delivering quality outcomes in a team or individual capacity
• your ability to maintain strict confidentiality and act in accordance with the public service Code of Conduct.
