The role of the Senior Service Manager includes:
• Overseeing and developing the practice and performance of the service area.
• Leading the development, implementation and monitoring of systems, processes and projects.
• Facilitating the delivery and continuous improvement of the accommodation support and respite services delivered to people with an intellectual disability and their family/support network.
• Holders of this role are required to be on call to provide out of hours support.
• Travel across the service area will be required

Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Providing leadership and guidance to service areas to facilitate the development of appropriate services that align with organisational and operational goals to meet the priorities and satisfaction of clients, their families and support networks.
• Providing leadership, guidance and support to the service areas to meet the requirements of relevant legislation and statutory obligations relating to the provision of disability support.
• Implementing, monitoring and leading the development of systems and processes that facilitate the continuous improvement of practice that supports the provision of quality customer services.
• Championing priority projects and leading, managing and developing strategies that ensure a thriving and engaged service that responds effectively to change and demonstrates contemporary practice in the delivery of disability support.
• Providing support and guidance to service areas regarding financial and human resource management in line with legislative and policy requirements and delegations including meeting the obligations of a provider under the Human Services Quality Framework and as a Disability Support for Older Australians recipient in line with National Disability Insurance Scheme and the Human Rights Act 2019.
• Leading the practice of integrated service delivery by forging collaborative partnerships with other departmental and government officers, the community and other organisations that can assist to meet the goals of the customers and their support networks and the organisation.
• Promoting a fair, respectful and safe work environment by providing support and guidance to service areas, anticipating and addressing challenges and opportunities that facilitate high performing teams. This includes local management enquiries into matters relating to performance issues, corrupt conduct and the abuse, neglect or exploitation of people with a disability as requested by the Director.
• Building and maintaining a relationship with industrial parties, by engaging with them regularly with a view to gain trust and build a constructive partnership.
• Recognising and contributing to the AS&RS Governance Structure, supporting quality outcomes for clients through the delivery of quality services and continuous improvement.
Current NDIS worker screening clearance; Holders of this role are required to be on call to provide out of hours support. Travel across the service area will be required
