Domestic & Family Violence Integrated Response Officer

Service Delivery, Housing and Homelessness Services provides a range of services, products and referrals to offer housing solutions for diverse customer groups.
High Risk teams are a core component of Queensland’s integrated service response approach to domestic and family violence. You will provide housing advice and assistance to high risk teams integrated service responses involving other agencies including specialist domestic and family violence services, police, corrections, health, courts, child safety and youth justice to keep victims safe and to hold persons using violence to account. You will also support, guide and assist Housing Service Centre staff to provide housing assistance to women and children experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence.

What you will be doing:
• Deliver housing assistance through integrated service responses to people experiencing domestic and family violence assessed to be at imminent risk of serious harm or lethality
• Provide advice to High Risk Team core members about housing products and services and, prioritise High Risk Team actions to ensure rapid and integrated housing responses
• Guide Housing Service Centre and regional staff to provide integrated service responses to people experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence, including working in collaboration with the Specialist Response Team to strengthen staff capability
• Contribute to the development of tools and resources to support and improve High Risk Team service delivery, practice and systems
• Manage the sharing and recording of information in accordance with relevant legislation, Queensland Government High Risk Team systems and guidelines
• Deliver intersectional, trauma-informed and culturally safe services to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTIQA+ people and people with disability.
• Lead and ensure you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.
Mandatory Requirements:
Class C driver's license
