A career in public policy is all about tackling real-world challenges, shaping decisions, and making a difference in people's lives. As a policy professional, you'll work on issues that matter - whether it's climate change, housing, health, education, or economic development. Your job is to research, analyse, and develop solutions that inform government decisions and drive positive change for Queensland communities.
Throughout the two-year program, you'll rotate across Queensland Government, gaining exposure to diverse and complex policy environments where you will be free to explore your interests and learn from experts in the field. You'll receive comprehensive learning and development opportunities, equipping you with the skills to fast track your career. You'll also receive a professional mentor, peer support, e-learning, and a range of networking opportunities.

Are you eligible?
Policy Futures is open to graduates from all degrees and disciplines who have a keen interest in policy.
To be eligible for the program you must:
• complete an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification (equivalent of a level seven qualification or higher, including graduate certificate, master's degree or PhD) between 31 October 2023 and 31 January 2026
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or have a visa with unrestricted working rights under Australian immigration law
• be willing to relocate to Brisbane for the two-year program if successful, noting all placements are based in South-East Queensland.
All candidates will be required to complete employment screening and disclosure checks prior to appointment
