Are you passionate about financial management and keen to oversee the coordination of assets within our protected areas? Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) is seeking a dedicated Asset Coordinator to manage plant and equipment across the South East Queensland Region.
This exciting role is not only pivotal in procuring and writing off assets but also vital in conducting thorough inspections and audits. Rangers ensure that the Queensland’s national parks, state forests and reserves are protected, accessible and valued by all Queenslanders. Rangers work in partnership with local communities and other stakeholders to contribute to the land management, recreational and conservation outcomes across the protected areas. Key Responsibilities:
· Efficiently coordinate the use of plant and equipment within the region.
· Oversee procurement and disposal processes for assets, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
· Conduct detailed inspections and audits to maintain the integrity and reliability of our assets within protected areas.
· Collaborate with multifaceted teams to manage assets in line with Queensland Government's policies and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Displays a keen interest in financial management and system processes.
· Has a comprehensive understanding of legislations, policies, and procedures regarding asset management.
· Demonstrates an ability to navigate the coordination of assets in a diverse and environmentally setting.
· Exhibits strong organisational skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks with precision.
