Your opportunity
As a Business Support Officer, you will provide confidential, accurate and efficient administrative support to the Program Director. The Regional Economic Future Fund (REFF) is a $200M targeted program for 4 identified regions of Queensland that will be directly impacted by the transition to a low-emission economy. The department has worked with key stakeholders across the state to identify priorities and actions needed to support economic diversification and the transition to decarbonisation in these regions. DSDI is now implementing this ‘place based work program’ with whole of government support.

Your responsibilities
• Assist in the development of processes and support for the management of approved projects under the REFF
• Experience in IT systems including MS Office applications, SmartyGrants, record management and data entry and analytics
• Prepare timely and accurate briefings, reports, submissions and correspondence
• Conduct research, analysis and interpretation of issues as required
• Assist in undertaking internal and external stakeholder engagement including across the department, with other government agencies, industry and business associations
• Coordinate, monitor and quality assure responses to incoming requests ensuring deadlines are met.
• Provide timely quality advice and support to the Program Director ensuring they are aware of emerging issues and timeframes for key decisions.
