The Office of the Great Barrier Reef & World Heritage (OGBR&WH) is a pivotal contributor to environmental and heritage conservation. We are in search of a dynamic professional with a blend of research acumen, policy knowledge and program management expertise.

Your role will include:
- Conducting in-depth research and crafting a variety of key document types such as briefings, reports, program plans, and public communications.
- Assisting in the roll-out, oversight, and evaluation of programs and projects tied to policy, legislation, program development, partnerships, governance, and data interpretation.
- Building strong collaborative relationships within the Department, across teams in the OGBR&WH, and with external stakeholders and working groups.
- Taking an active role in a high-performing team, delivering on program objectives, maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
- Managing your workload independently, hitting deadlines, and performing under pressure, while also working cohesively as part of a team.
- Developing and presenting evidence-based, statistical advice, interpreting legislation, and assessing environmental practice shifts and water quality outcomes.
- Communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally, with various government and non-government stakeholders.
- Showcasing exceptional program management abilities by focusing on accountability, prioritising, working autonomously, and collaborating to meet organisational goals.
