• Complete technical research and evaluation to advise on and deliver environmental and social impact assessments, under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971 and Strong and Sustainable Resource Communities Act 2017, for a range of complex and diverse projects that drive economic development and infrastructure initiatives.
• Perform a technical role in teams, providing advice to your peers and management to support the public and private sector on statutory processes, communicating in non-technical language.
• Develop complex, strategic, solutions focused advice to mitigate risk and support the implementation of the strategic initiatives for critical minerals in Queensland. 
• Support complex negotiations with stakeholders to achieve the government's strategic goals and integrate economic and infrastructure objectives with industry outcomes.
• Build sustained relationships with key government stakeholders to support facilitation, assessment and delivery of critical mineral projects.
• Prepare briefings, reports and correspondence and contribute to policy review and Cabinet submissions relevant to critical minerals.
• Contribute and nurture the positive and inclusive culture of the NEMD team, and the Office of the Coordinator-General more broadly.
