The Role
The Principal Program Officer provides high-level strategic, policy, and program management expertise to ensure the effective delivery of programs and initiatives. The role requires leadership in procurement, contract management, governance, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on achieving value for money, mitigating risk, and aligning service delivery with government objectives.
The Team and the Branch
LASF improves access to free or low-cost legal services for vulnerable Queenslanders by providing policy advice and administering State and Commonwealth funding. As part of the Investment and Commissioning branch, we manage funding, grants, and service commissioning to strengthen legal assistance.
We collaborate with stakeholders and government partners to meet national obligations and develop investment strategies for key priorities like family violence and community legal services. Our focus is on equitable access to justice and innovative sector solutions.
