About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Safety Inspector, you'll play a vital role in promoting safe electrical practices across Queensland. With limited supervision, you'll carry out contemporary regulatory services, ensure compliance with electrical safety legislation, and help reduce the risk of electrical incidents across the state.
You will use your knowledge, technical background, and people skills to conduct inspections, investigate incidents, deliver educational sessions, and enforce compliance in alignment with the Electrical Safety Act 2002.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct inspections and enforce compliance using your powers as an appointed
- Investigate electrical incidents and complaints, determining appropriate enforcement action.
- Provide expert advice and deliver safety education to workplaces and community
- Support the Compliance and Engagement program through proactive monitoring and assessments.
- Escalate complex matters appropriately and collaborate with other inspectors and

What We're Looking For
We're seeking candidates who bring a blend of technical knowledge, practical experience, and strong interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A sound ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and industry knowledge in varied situations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience in writing clear, professional reports.

- A high level of autonomy, personal integrity, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
While not mandatory, a qualification or certification in an electrical trade is highly desirable.
