Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support, emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.

- developing and funding projects in disaster affected communities.
In this role, you will conduct robust market analysis and planning to inform commissioning and investment decisions. This position establishes and ensures the correct governance procedures are put in place for procurement negotiation requirements including undertaking a secretariat role for assessment panels. You will develop procurement and grant documentation, ensuring high level governance practices and compliance with legislation, investment specifications, and departmental policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in procurement and grant management processes combined with financial acumen and demonstrated communication and negotiation skills. You will have critical analysis and problem - solving skills with the ability to escalate issues. Experience in end-to-end contract management and the establishment of contract management plans (preferably human and social service contracts in the public sector) is highly desirable. Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Queensland Government legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks as it relates to contract management, procurement and grants administration is desirable. Experience with procurement and grant management systems is desirable.
This is a fixed term full time position commencing July 2025 with possibility for extension.
