As Contract Manager, you will work with the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to deliver the assessment and delivery of the contract management strategy from development through to implementation. This accountability will encompass all aspects of the strategy and process, from an organisational needs assessment, strategy development, engagement and securing of stakeholder acceptance, template development, training, and risk mitigation.
Supplemental to the strategy development and deployment, this role will assess and introduce effective contract management systems and work closely with contract relationship managers to provide oversight and centrally manage compliance and performance across the Department.

This is a permanent recruitment seeking a suitable applicant with the following:
Extensive knowledge of purchasing, contract administration, performance management and public tendering.
Proven capacity to contribute to strategic and operational planning through innovative problem solving and understanding of contemporary procurement and contract management and administration including technology and application.
Understanding of change management principles to develop and facilitate change.
Communication skills that demonstrate experience in stakeholder engagement in a complex environment, effectively influencing to drive outcomes through to completion through persuasively present cases based on logic, data and the objective merits of a situation and influence others in their thinking.
Negotiation and facilitation skills demonstrating experience in dispute resolution in commercial matters.
Successful delivery of a program of work through the application of project management principles, negotiation, and collaboration.
Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly develop a thorough knowledge of, Queensland Procurement Policy and other relevant government regulations and by-laws the rules governing of the tendering process.
