The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Manage and lead a regional portfolio of IT professionals engaged in the support and preventative maintenance of information technology and drive the development of a customer and results oriented culture.
• Monitor outputs of the regional unit and utilise best practice and continuous improvement principles to enhance service delivery and contribute to corporate objectives and initiatives.
• Provide high quality advice to senior management of QPS and our customer agencies on IT support related issues, information technology systems, services and strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through continual engagement and communication, and a pro-active approach to service delivery.
• Manage the budget, operations and 24x7 response of the Technology Support regional unit and ensure it is well resourced, organised and capable.
• Lead risk management and compliance management audits and implement innovative strategies to mitigate and resolve IT related risks.
Role Requirements:
Highly desirable -
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in an enterprise-scale ICT services environment including experience in the technical implementation of ICT projects.
Desirable -
• Experience using ITIL framework.
• Experience in agile ways of working.
• Knowledge of PRINCE2 project methodology.
• Experience in using ITSM tools for IT Service Delivery.
Special Conditions - This position is required to:
• Undertake on-call duties, reasonable overtime and work outside normal business hours
• Travel intra and inter-state as needed
• Participate in deployments and 24/7 roster during emergency and major incident events
• Possess a current open Queensland “C” class driver licence.
