Principal Advisor (Relationship Manager)

This is a new position which will be leading the ‘People Hub’ capability within the Queensland Police Service (QPS) supporting the State Emergency Service (SES) and Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ). Principal Advisor Relationship Managers will provide high level support to Regional Directors and relevant staff and executive group leaders to foster and develop professional workplaces and ethical workforce behaviour.

Your Key Accountabilities:
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide high level advice and support to portfolio leaders and senior managers in building inclusive workplaces and practices and actioning other culture and engagement strategies and actions
- Provide advice and assist in the development of organisational frameworks, policies and procedures for a workforce that models professional and ethical behaviour
- Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration, support improvement in systems and processes and enable the safe and sustainable delivery of services
- Undertake projects on key emergent issues and initiatives impacting SES/MRQ, including providing support in the implementation of whole of government human resource and industrial relations policy and initiatives
- Effectively manage the development of staff and provide guidance through competent team leadership and demonstrated personal commitment to constructive learning and performance dialogues
- Effectively initiate, develop and manage all aspects of communications across a range of media including electronic and social media, print, and face to face communications
