What we are looking for:
• A high-risk work (HRW) licence and other qualifications under Workplace Health and Safety will be highly regarded.
• A trade certificate in a maintenance or industry-related field will be highly regarded.
• Experience in the mining industry is desirable.
• Physical fitness is necessary for field work in remote locations and challenging terrains.
The following requirements are essential to this role:
• Current open C Class driver license.
About the Site Supervisor:
In this role, you will undertake activities to support the management of risks associated with abandoned mines. This includes planning and delivery of major project works associated with care and maintenance or remediation of abandoned mines and associated infrastructure.
• Supervisor of site operators, contractors and consultants whilst they are on site, ensuring they work in compliance with a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) obligations, site Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan (HSEMP) requirements and legislation.
• Manage and supervise contract activities and provide assessment of the performance of the contracts against the performance and evaluation criteria.
• Plan, commission, monitor and interpret findings from investigations, studies and field monitoring activities into a proposed project scope for management consideration.
• Interpret technical and other reports and use to guide project planning and risk management.
• Incorporate project and operational risk assessment processes into management plans and facilitate workshops to characterise relevant risks and controls.
