The purpose of the Principal Engineer (Statewide Utilities) is to be responsible for managing TMR interests in mitigating impacts of utility and third-party works and access within state transport corridors. The role will provide specialist technical expertise through effective leadership to project managers on the uniformity, reliability, adequacy and safety of electricity, gas, telecommunications, sewage and water infrastructure This service is in high demand and reduces the cost/delay impacts of utility network conflicts on (TMR) projects.

We are seeking a Principal Engineer (Statewide Utilities) to join our team based in Brisbane.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
- A four-year Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering degree (Civil) - or equivalent which is assessed and accepted by Engineers Australia.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) (Civil) is mandatory for appointment to the position. Requirements of the role
- Thorough knowledge and experience of public utility plant and road infrastructure construction methodology and planning principals and application of relevant acts, policies, and guidelines
- Negotiates, advises, and makes decisions regarding state transport corridor use and access.
- Provides clear and concise advice that is rigorously considered and supported by a clear rationale.
- Build and sustain networks and relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to develop a high-performance team to manage workloads and provide support to team members to empower them to make decisions.
