The Senior Employee Relations Advisor provides employee relations advisory and support services to the QAS, including Regions and other key stakeholders on complex employment matters.
The role undertakes case management of investigation and discipline matters, including employee complaints and misconduct. The role also assists in the provision of advice and the management of general industrial matters as required.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated end-to-end case management experience with substantial misconduct, investigation and discipline matters, performance management and employee complaints.
- Demonstrated achievement in providing advisory and support services to stakeholders on complex employee relations matters.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated innovative and analytical problem-solving skills, with a flexible and agile approach, in a complex, rapidly changing, and sensitive environment.
- Ability to assist in the preparation and management of industrial disputes and appeal matters and knowledge of QIRC rules and procedures.
- Highly developed communication and oral presentation skills, including the proven ability to write concise, high-quality reports, briefs, and other correspondence.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- Whilst not mandatory, a recognised qualification in human resources, law or business would be well regarded.
