You are invited to join a dynamic team with Cardiology Service, Integrated Medicine, Emergency and Youth Services as Clinical Nurse Consultant - Better Cardiac Care. In this role you will participate in this program utilising a quality framework approach to address service access issues, health literacy challenges, care coordination and the provision of a culturally appropriate model of care.

Job details

The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.

About your role:

• Responsible for the content expertise for Better Cardiac Care Program specialty to provide the highest
  standards of safe quality care and clinical nursing practice to meet the requirements for person centred
  care.
• Provide patient and staff education, acting as a clinical resource, mentor, role model, and technical
  expert within the health care environment.
• Implement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, work health and safety policies, procedures
  and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work area.
