As our Principal Procurement and Contract Management Officer you will:
• Undertake the strategic and operational delivery and monitoring of contracts and supplier performance on behalf of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (the Program).
• Provide high quality authoritative and accurate procurement leadership, advice, and services.
• Support and influence Program managers to adopt a contract performance management role in their operational relationships with third party providers, providing specialist leadership and advice to resolve contractor performance issues as required.

As our Principal Procurement and Contract Management Officer you will:
• Undertake the strategic and operational delivery and monitoring of contracts and supplier performance on behalf of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (the Program).
• Provide high quality authoritative and accurate procurement leadership, advice, and services.
• Support and influence Program managers to adopt a contract performance management role in their operational relationships with third party providers, providing specialist leadership and advice to resolve contractor performance issues as required.
• Provide high-quality and timely contract administration for the Programs highvalue and high-risk contracts, including to monitor performance through formal review meetings with contract managers and suppliers.
• Provide advice and structured support for routine sourcing activities undertaken by the Program, including contingent labour engagements.
• Provide expert advice on contract issues as required by the Program, including expert advice on extensions, renewals and variations, and the escalation of underperformance and complaints that cannot be resolved locally.
• Preparation of contract variations and extensions, ensuring that appropriate processes and relevant documentation is maintained.
• Establish, develop, and maintain effective internal and external relationships with stakeholders, delivery partners and external service suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to as necessary, to effectively forge and maintain productive and appropriate relationships that allow swift identification and resolution of any presenting or perceived issues.
• Lead the development, review, and endorse clear and concise contractual documentation for complex, medium to high-risk strategic contracts.
• Conduct strategically focused vendor and supply chain management, analysis, planning and reporting.
• Collaboratively develop and maintain appropriate governance and audit business requirements with DPI procurement.
• Assist with budget costing development for ongoing operations, operational enhancements, and new initiatives.
You may also have
• While not mandatory, demonstrated experience with significant, complex procurement tenders and projects, would be well regarded.
• Possession of or, ability to acquire possession of a minimum Level 2 Queensland Government Procurement Certification
