Your new opportunity
Seeking a Senior Project Officer for the Strategy and Portfolio Management Office (SPMO) within the Investment team of the Industry, Investment, and Commercial group of Queensland Treasury. The team focuses on attracting and facilitating highvalue private sector investment to strengthen and diversify the Queensland economy.
The role supports the development and implementation of governance arrangements and strategies to enhance private sector investment attraction and provide governance and reporting on investment programs.
In this role, you will:
Prepare or contribute to the preparation of timely portfolio and program reporting, presentations, communication materials and progress updates. Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, build, and implement Power Platform solutions to enhance business operations and user experiences. Including technical support and training. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
Maintain, update and improve existing SharePoint systems, project information, and information repositories in line with corporate policies.
Apply strong governance acumen to portfolio management with a key focus on transparency, reporting and data quality. Manage and enhance positive relationships across the Investment division and across Queensland Treasury.
What experience you will bring:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong experience with effectively communicating both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience in gathering, documenting and managing user requirements.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to plan, design build and implement small to medium Power Platform project from concept through to operation.
• Experience in the design and implementation of Power BI, data flows and reporting.
• Good organisational skills and ability to navigate, lead, be flexible and manage competing work priorities in complex and at times, fast paced environment.
• Good portfolio, program and/or project governance acumen including risk and benefits frameworks and management.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
