Analytics team provides advanced data analytics and data visualisation services for QPS frontline applications to support policing and the community.

We have Assistant BI Analyst, you will be working as part of a team with corporate data to produce reports, dashboards and data extracts. This often requires liaising with a wide variety of customers to understand their needs.

Your key accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

• Assist in the generation of outputs from statistical models and other data sources and conduct analysis to formulate insights.
• Investigating issues, resolve problems and provide advice to users in respect to information contained within the information systems.
• Exercising initiative in developing and/or improving work processes and procedures to support the work performance of the unit.
• Liaising with relevant agencies, other government and private organisations.
• Assisting in the development and delivery of data and reporting strategies as required.
• Undertaking administrative tasks as directed by the Manager to ensure the effective operation and support of Research & Analytics and other tasks as required.

Role Requirements

Qualification

• There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications and/or experiences are highly regarded

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience

• Interest or familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools eg Excel, Power BI, SQL would be well regarded
