In the role of Land Transaction Officer (Acquisition Management), you will provide assistance and advice to the unit and stakeholders and will undertake tasks for fulfilment of the legislative processes, departmental procedures, and business considerations necessary for lawful and timely land resumptions, acquisitions from other government agencies, and administration of land for transport infrastructure projects.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide support, information, and advice to internal and external stakeholders relating to land acquisitions, resumptions and right of way to land, to ensure compliance to departmental policy, and legal and procedural requirements for various land transactions across all tenure types.
• Support, advise on and implement processes for undertaking land acquisitions and resumptions and other land transactions, including preparation of land transaction documents and correspondence.
• Update maintain and accurately enter data and documentation in relevant Property systems and maintain document records to ensure the accurate information is captured in a timely and efficient manner and in line with TMR's record management procedures.
• Monitor and assist in management and prioritisation of work tasks and ensure accurate and quality outputs are completed within required timeframes and service standards.
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in land transaction procedures, including land title dealings, administration of land tenures and interests, private land, and government transactions, compulsory resumptions and agreements for land acquisition.
• Experience in, or capacity to develop and apply, knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures for land acquisition, retention, and transactions across the full spectrum of land tenures and interests.
• Experience in, or ability to, assist and implement suitable acquisition strategies and processes for the timely and lawful resumption and acquisition of land, and the administration of land for TMR.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance best practices in land transaction processes.
• Uphold high standards of practice through governance and demonstrate accountability through diligence, transparency, and proficiency.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders while fostering team capabilities and individual talents.
