Please note, as part of Machinery of Government changes, this position is set to transition to Queensland Ambulance Service in 2026.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Co-ordinate and provide high-level technical expertise and knowledge in the leadership of teams and contractor staff involved in all aspects of new installations, modifications, and maintenance activities of radio communications networks and terminal equipment, telecommunications systems, and specialist electronic systems.
- Timely and accurate coordination and submission of all aspects of maintenance documentation and configuration management processes and standards.
- Lead, co-ordinate and provide human resource support for the planning, supervision, and performance management of teams.
- Ensure workgroup compliance with relevant equipment maintenance standards and all appropriate legislative, policy, procedural and quality requirements are applied.
Role Requirements
Mandatory-
- Advanced Diploma in Electronics/Communications Engineering or equivalent experience; and
- A current ‘C' class drivers' licence.
Desirable-
- Open Cabling Registration with Structured/Coaxial Cable and Optical Fibre endorsements) or a commitment to obtain is to be provided to the panel.
Other-
This position is required to:
- Undertake on-call duties, overtime, and work outside normal business hours.
- Travel intra and inter-state as needed.
