Regional Support Officer

We are seeking a Regional Support Officer on a full-time basis for a period of 12 months.
As the Regional Support Officer you will work closely with the Regional Coordinator and Administration Officers as part of the Moreton Sunshine Coast Wide Bay Region in the Compliance and Field Services directorate to deliver administrative support to Managers and the Inspectorate Staff.
The position is located at Maryborough, however the successful applicant will be required to work at the Bundaberg Office for one day every 2 - 4 weeks.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide support to the Managers and Regional Coordinator including the coordination of an effective and efficient records management and file tracking/retrieval system, to ensure assigned tasks are completed within agreed timeframes;
- Provide support to the Regional Coordinator in monitoring and evaluating regional human resource management systems, staff establishment and associated staffing issues, including the collection and collation of data for monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports where required;
- Undertake miscellaneous administrative tasks allocated by Managers and the Regional Coordinator, including where applicable leading and monitoring a small administration team;
- Organise, attend and minute meetings as requested by Managers or Regional Coordinator and develop initiatives to assist the Regional Management Team to maximize time and resource proficiency;
- Participate in special projects, program activities, research, and compiling of reports, including drafting of briefing notes and general correspondence;
- Implement recommendations from the Regional Coordinator and the Finance, Facilities and Procurement Unit in relation to facilities, asset, fleet and operational practices for the region to ensure all procedural requirements are met;
- Assist the mobile inspectorate by coordinating the provision of transport, equipment, personal protective equipment and administrative support;
- Coordinate the provision of training for regional staff by both internal and external providers by booking venues and allocating resources; and
- Encourage an environment in which high quality services are delivered through fostering adherence to the quality system documentation, continually seeking improvements in the way in which work is undertaken and leading by example.
