The Office of the Chief Risk Officer is accountable to the Commissioner for the development of risk and business continuity frameworks, a strong risk management culture and integration of risk management into all areas of QPS.

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for system management of our risk systems; provision of guidance for indicator development and design of reports and dashboards using contemporary analytics and reporting tools.

Your key accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

• Lead and manage the delivery of efficient and effective systems support for the risk management system and other systems used by the office of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
• Undertake quality assurance processes, including systems reports and analysis for integrity and assurance purposes.
• Provide accurate and timely advice on system configuration, current trends and future product developments within reporting systems.
• Define and document business specifications, key indicators, application functionality and workflow requirements.
• Lead and/or contribute to projects and other improvement activities through well designed data analysis techniques and provision of high-level advice to senior management.
• Liaise, consult, and negotiate with internal and external clients and agencies and foster productive networks and partnerships.

Role Requirements

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience

• System administration and configuration experience; Reporting Tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, SSRS); Advance Excel skills; Database Management; knowledge of API's and Business Analyst skills are highly desirable

Other

• The role is based in Brisbane however there is opportunity to negotiate work from other Queensland Police districts or regional centres.
