The Supreme, District and Land Courts Service provides administrative support and registry services to the judiciary and court users in Queensland through registries within the Supreme Court (including the Court of Appeal), the District Court (including the Planning and Environment Court, and the Childrens Court of Queensland), and the Land Court.

As Principal Legal Officer (Civil Jurisdiction) you will sit within the Office of the Assistant Director-General to provide authoritative legal and policy advice. Your expertise will facilitate the transition of our civil jurisdiction to a contemporary, digital mode of service delivery.

The Supreme, District and Land Courts Service works to deliver a range of services which support an independent judiciary and achieve quality outcomes for the community. Working closely with the judiciary will not only enhance your knowledge of the legal system but also provide a rewarding experience in contributing to the delivery of justice in Queensland.

Services are delivered through registries within the Supreme Court (including the Court of Appeal), the District Court (including the Planning and Environment Court, and the Children's Court of Queensland), and the Land Court.

As Principal Legal Officer you will:

• understand key issues and emerging trends in justice and civil law policy.
• readily comprehend technical and legal documents.
• be articulate and communicate effectively with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
• rapidly analyse information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define objectives and solution.
• organise information in a systematic way to optimise efficiency and minimise duplication of effort.
